When a CD/DVD cannot be formatted with Drag-to-Disc, try formatting it with the ad-
ministrator authority.
When you have formatted a disc with Drag-to-Disc, remove the disc once before using
it.
Windows Vista
If a standard user has written a
fi
le to an unformatted CD-RW/DVD-RW/DVD+RW,
formatting may be performed without display of the format con
fi
rmation and progress
bar. Wait until the progress bar for
fi
le writing appears.
Do not click [Cancel] while formatting a CD-RW/DVD-RW/DVD+RW.
Do not click [Cancel] while writing files to an unformatting a CD-RW/DVD-RW/
DVD+RW.
In the following cases, click
(Start) - [Computer], right-click [DVD RW Drive(X:)],
select [Disable Drag-to-Disc for this drive] from the menu and disable Drag-to-Disc.
• When you perform the standard format procedure prepared by Windows Vista.
• When you write to a disc formatted by the above procedure.
When you restart your computer, Drag-to-Disc is enabled again even if it is disabled ac-
cording to the above procedure. Resetting Drag-to-Disc to disable is necessary.
