3. Equipment connections

To use the unit, place it as shown in the figure, and install it on a flat
surface.

When the unit is to be housed in a rack, obtain the shelf and

other parts separately.

When using the multipurpose mounting holes (which support M3

screws) on the side panels of the unit, ensure that the following
conditions are satisfied:

10 mm

Screws used:

M3 with a length of 10 mm or less

Maximum load:

Max 5 kg per mounting hole

Before proceeding with the connections, check that the power of the unit and multi-format camera (AK-HC3500) is OFF.

Use the optical fibre multi cable to connect the unit and multi-format camera (AK-HC3500).

Connect only the AK-HC3500 camera: Do not connect any other model.

Use a dedicated cable to connect the unit to the remote operation panel (ROP) or master setup unit (MSU).

When the unit’s power switch is set to ON and then the camera’s power is set to ON, the camera can be controlled using the

ROP or MSU.

The camera statuses are shown on the picture monitor.

Refer to “4. Picture monitor (PM) displays” on page 14.

When establishing the unit’s settings by menu operations, the menu screens are displayed on the picture monitor.

Refer to “7. Menu operations” on page 48.

When establishing the unit’s settings by Web settings from a personal computer, use a crossover cable (10Base-T or

100Base-TX) to connect the personal computer directly to the unit.

Refer to “5. Web settings” on page 22.

For details on controlling the waveform monitor (WFM), consult with your dealer.

Before disconnecting the cables from the camera and ROP, turn off the camera’s power and then turn off the unit’s power.
