Enter and save info
To enter text:
Tap the screen. When the
cursor appears, begin typing.
To enter uppercase letters:
Press
Shift
. To turn on
Caps Lock
, press
Shift
twice.
To enter numbers and symbols that
appear at the top of the keys:
Press
Option
and the key for the character.
To turn on
Option Lock
, press
Option
twice.
To enter symbols like currency symbols
and accented characters:
Press
Sym
to open the symbols table, scroll to the
character you want, and tap to select.
To select text:
You can select text in
messages, web pages, memos, and so on.

Open the application menu to use Cut,
Copy, and Paste.
How do I save the info I entered?
Make the back gesture (see the Navigation
guide), and your information is saved
automatically. You don’t have to do
anything else. If you see a
Done
button,
tap it to save and move on. When you
close an app, new info is always saved
automatically.
