Note: The actual crimp process is the same for either a 2- or 3-level strip.

Coaxial Cable Assembly for BNC, TNC,
N-Type & mini-UHF Connectors

1. Prepare a cable with a 2- or a 3-level strip as

recommended by the connector manufacturer.
Remove the outer jacket, shield braid & dielectric.

2. Slide the cylindrical ferrule sleeve over the coaxial

cable.

3. Flare the shield braid away from the dielectric.
4. Attach the center pin to the center conductor of the

cable.

5. Install the pin into the bayonet. Allow the shield

braid to overlay the outer ferrule of the connector.
Make sure that none of the braid makes contact with
the pin.

6. Slide the sleeve over the bayonet & braided shield.
7. Crimp the cylindrical ferrule to ensure the cable &

connector are held firmly together.
