Code search (Advanced search)
If you only know device type (TV,DVD,...), don't know brand name, model name, you
can use this function to search the code. When you meet a device, you are not able
to find its remote or replacement, please try this function, maybe it can help you.
Many devices use the same basic models of remotes. Your remote, most probably is
under another model or brand.
How to use this function?
It is very simple. The IR programmer (Model No. must be IRPR8000 or
programmable remotes PRC8440,PRC8460 or others, but it is not the Infrared
Programmer IRPR4000 or IRPR2000 ) can be used to transmit IR codes to control
device from PC. Please see below photo which is used in PC-BASED remote control.
There are 3 types of advanced search:
KEY CODE SEARCH (comparison codes)
TRANSMITTING SEARCH
LEARNING SEARCH
To start the advanced search, click on "Search" button
Then you have to click on the “Open Code Search” to open the advanced search
(see picture below).

Then the 3 types off advanced search will appear.
