Placement of the Monitor
The PackTite Passive Monitor should be placed as close the location of a potential
infestation as possible. This includes behind headboards, at the head end of box
springs, low down on the wall at the head end of a bed, or beneath wooden slatted
mattress supports.
Proper placement of the PackTite Passive is imperative to the success of a monitoring
program or system. It is therefore necessary to “think like a bed bug” when placing the
monitor. Bed frame designs may differ from the examples shown below, so plan the
placement of your monitors accordingly. A basic working knowledge of bed bug
behavior may also be useful.
