Congratulations, and thank you for purchasing a Packard Bell Compasseo!
Please use your
Companion CD ! It includes detailed information on your device, as well as specific
programs that we recommend you to install at the earliest opportunity to enjoy all the features of your
Compasseo.
To learn more about your Compasseo, check out our list of Frequently Asqued Questions on page 8 as it
could answer questions you might have.
Controls
Connecting to your computer
You will need to connect to your computer to get the latest maps, points of interest or software updates (Internet
connection required).
1. Connect the small end of the supplied USB cable to your Compasseo and the other to one of your computer's USB ports.
2. Insert the
Companion CD into your computer and click on the Installation button.
1. Power Switch
Slide to power on or off the device.
2. External GPS antenna
connector (MMCX type)
If your car has a heat reflective/thermal windscreen, you may need to use an
external antenna to get better GPS reception.
3. Battery charging LED
Indicates the status of battery.
4. Touch screen
Read status and information on the screen. Tap the screen to enter information
and navigate through the applications.
5. SD/MMC card slot
Insert an SD/MMC card to read maps, music, photos.
6. Volume up/down
Adjust the volume.
7. Car holder slots
Use to position your device in the car holder kit.
8. USB connector
Use the supplied USB cable to connect the Compasseo to your computer, or
connect the the supplied USB power cable and plug the other end into the
cigarette lighter to charge the battery.
9. Earphone Jack
Connect earphones.
10.Battery lock switch
(Hard reset)
Use this switch to cut all power to the device. Note that this also resets the
device's memory. You will have to perform the first start process again (calibrate
screen, settings, acquire GPS connection, etc.).
11.Reset button
Restart your device in case it stops responding or becomes unstable.
12.Speaker
Listen to route guidance instructions or enjoy your music.
