5. With the PLCC extractor, remove (3) EPROMS labeled U1, U2 and U3. Fully insert the
prongs of the PLCC tool into the diagonal slots in the PLCC sockets. Squeeze the tool
together to secure the PLCC chip. Carefully lift the chip out of the socket.

6. Carefully place the new EPROMs into the corresponding sockets and align with proper
orientation. Press firmly to seat properly.
7. Insert the OC950 option card into the SC900 base drive.
8. Apply AC power.
9. The drive may display the F2 or F3 fault code, this is normal. Unconfigure the drive
using 950IDE software. The drive may still show a fault until power is cycled.
10. Cycle AC power. The drive should display the UC fault code.
11. Download and run your program. If you do not have an existing program, then create a
new program with 950IDE software and run the new program.
NOTE
The program must contain a minimum of the appropriate motor and
drive params for proper drive configuration. The 950IDE will walk
you through the params setup when you create a new program or
edit params.
12. Cycle AC power.
