Operation:
The lawn scarifier is used to loosen moss etc. from the lawn. The machine blades
rotate in the direction of travel and thus help to drive the machine forward.
Start the motor and lower the machine to the working
position using the lever on the right side of the machine.
Activate the throttle and fully depress the clutch. Move the
machine back and forth on the lawn. After the first aeration,
remove all the loose moss from the lawn. If moss remains on
the lawn, run the scarifier over the lawn once more at an
angle of 90 degrees to the previous aeration. See Figure 5.
Cleaning/maintenance:
After use, remove the moss which has accumulated on the machine. Switch off the
motor, remove the spark plug cap and turn the machine on its back. Clean the
underside of the guard with a brush.
Clean the machine with a water hose. Use a low water pressure to avoid damaging
the machine labels. Avoid spraying directly on the bearings. After cleaning, it is a good
idea to start the machine and let the rotor blades run without resistance for a short
time.
Never use a high pressure cleaner to clean the lawn scarifier.
Spray the exposed points with rust protection.
Never tilt the machine more than 20 degrees, as this may cause an oil leak in the
cylinder.
Always follow the motor manual instructions when performing maintenance on the
motor.
