blade.
•
Make sure that all shields are correctly positioned and are in good condition before
starting the engine. Check the blades for wear and damage
and replace if necessary.
•
Make sure that everyone nearby is aware of the grinder’s
danger zone (see the drawing). No one may enter the danger
zone while the grinder is operating.
•
Never modify the grinder in any way.
•
Always check with local authorities to determine whether any supply lines are buried
at the worksite before using the stump grinder.
Fuel-handling safety
•
Stay alert at all times when handling fuel. Fuel is flammable, and its vapours are highly
explosive. Never refuel indoors or near sources of naked flames, sparks or other
existing sources of ignition.
•
Never remove the fuel cap or fill with fuel while the engine is running. Stop the engine
and let it cool off before filling with fuel.
•
Do not smoke during refuelling.
•
Fill with motor oil 10W-40/15-W40 or SAE30 mineral oil.
•
Do not start the engine if fuel has been spilled. Wipe up the fuel, and make sure the
area is dry before starting the grinder.
•
Always make sure that the tank cap is correctly attached before starting the grinder.
•
If the tank needs to be emptied, always do this outdoors.
