Operation
Before use
Always read the user manual carefully and check the machine before using it.
WARNING!
The hedge trimmer is equipped with a two-stroke engine, so it is not necessary to add oil
separately. Fill with oil mixed with fuel, see the section below.
Check the cutting equipment, never use blades that are dull, cracked or damaged.
Make sure the handle and safety features are in good condition. Never use a machine that is
missing a part or has been modified outside of specifications.
Check that the covers are correctly fitted and undamaged before starting the machine.
WARNING!
Always use quality gloves, foot, ear and eye protection. They must be CE labelled and tested
according to the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Directive.
Poor equipment can reduce protection and result in injuries while working.
Inspect the hedge and work area to avoid damaging the cutting blades:
−
Remove stones, rocks, metal pieces and other solid objects.
−
When working close to the ground, make sure that no sand, gravel, or stones get between the blades.
−
Be especially careful when trimming hedges next to or against wire fences.
Fuel for the engine
WARNING!
The hedge trimmer is equipped with a two-stroke engine; only use fuel mixed with oil.
Only refuel the machine in well-lit areas. Avoid spillage of fuel. Never refuel the machine during
operation. Allow the engine to cool down for about two minutes before refueling.
Do not refuel near open flames, pilot lights or spark-producing electrical equipment such as power
tools, welders, or grinders.
1.
Make sure the machine is switched off by turning the engine switch to the "off" position.
NOTE: The switch is an auto-return switch that will always remain or return to the "I" position after
switching off.
2.
Check the fuel with a visual check, remove the fuel cap and check the fuel level.
3.
Fill the fuel tank with unleaded fuel mixed with oil from an approved fuel container, as the fuel
expands. Only fill the tank up to the neck.
4.
Turn the fuel cap clockwise to secure it in place.
