Air filter
1.
Loosen the screw on the air filter cover and remove the air filter cover.
2.
Wash the air filter in solvent.
3.
Squeeze the filter thoroughly to remove excess oil.
4.
Reinstall the air filters.
5.
Reinstall the air filter cover and tighten the air filter cover screw.
WARNING!
Using petrol or flammable solvents for cleaning can cause a fire or explosion. Therefore, only use
soapy water or non-flammable solvents. Never use the machine without an air filter.
Spark plug
To ensure proper engine operation, the spark plug must have proper electrode spacing and be free
of deposits.
1.
Remove the spark plug cover.
2.
Remove the spark plug cap.
3.
Remove any dirt around the spark plug base.
4.
Use the supplied spanner to remove the spark plug.
5.
Visually inspect the spark plug. Remove carbon deposits with a wire brush.
6.
Check for discolouration on the top of the spark plug. The default colour should be a brown colour.
7.
Check the spark plug electrode gap. Spacing should be between 0.6-0.7 mm.
