17.
Disengage all control levers and stop the engine before leaving the operating position
(behind the handles). Wait until the auger/impeller stops completely before cleaning
the chute or making adjustments or inspections.
18.
Never stick your hand into the openings of the discharge chute or the auger. Always
use the supplied clean-out tool to free the discharge chute. Avoid cleaning out the
chute while the engine is running. Turn off the engine and stay behind the handles
until all moving parts have stopped before unclogging.
19.
Only use accessories approved by the manufacturer (e.g. wheel weights, tyre chocks,
cabs, etc.).
20.
Never touch a hot engine or silencer.
21.
If situations arise that are not described in this manual, use caution and good
judgment. Contact the supplier if necessary.
Clearing a clogged discharge chute
Hand contact with the impeller inside the discharge chute is the most common cause
of injury associated with snow throwers. Never use your hand to clean out the
discharge chute.
How to empty the chute:
1.
TURN OFF THE ENGINE!
2.
Wait 10 seconds to make sure the impeller has stopped rotating.
3.
Always use a clean-out tool, not your hands.
Maintenance and storage
1.
Safety devices must never be tampered with. Check their correct functioning regularly.
See the maintenance and adjustment sections of this manual.
2.
Before cleaning, repairing or inspecting the machine, disconnect all control levers and
stop the engine. Wait until the auger/impeller stops completely. Disconnect the spark
plug cable and ground to the engine to prevent accidental starting.
3.
Check bolts and screws for proper tightness at frequent intervals to keep the machine
in safe operating condition. Also visually inspect the machine for any damage.
4.
Do not change the engine throttle setting or run the engine at excessive speed.
5.
The scraper blade and skid shoes of the snow thrower are subject to wear and
damage. Check all components regularly and replace if necessary. Use only original
spare parts.
Use of non-original parts may lead to altered performance and
compromise safety!
