Preparation
1.
Never use the machine without having read and understood this user manual, the
tractor’s user manual and all of the safety labels on the tractor and machine.
2.
The wearing of personal protective
equipment, incl. helmet, safety goggles, safety
footwear and gloves is recommended when
fitting, operating, adjusting, repairing,
dismantling, cleaning and transporting the
machine. Securely fasten, cover over and
protect long hair so that it cannot become
caught, snagged or trapped, and avoid the
wearing of loose-fitting clothing or jewellery
in the vicinity of the machine.
3.
PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO LOUD NOISE CAN BE HARMFUL TO HEARING AND
LEAD TO HEARING LOSS!
Power equipment with or without implement(s) can often
generate levels of noise that can cause permanent hearing
loss. It is recommended that ear defenders are worn if the
noise levels in the work area exceed 80 dB. Long-term
exposure to noise in excess of 85 dB can cause serious
hearing loss. Long-term exposure to noise in excess of 90 dB
can cause total and permanent hearing loss.
4.
Clear the work area of stones and visible and hidden obstacles that can become
trapped or become stuck and lead to damage.
5.
Only use in daylight or with sufficient artificial lighting.
6.
Ensure that the machine is correctly fitted, adjusted and in good working order.
7.
Ensure that all safety guards and safety labels are correctly fitted and in a good
condition.
