Use of the equipment
1.
The safety of the operator and bystanders is one of the most important factors in the
design and development of the equipment. But every year many accidents occur that
could have been avoided if someone had just paid a little more attention to what they
were doing and exercised more caution when handling equipment. As the operator,
you can avoid many potential accidents by following the precautions in this section. To
avoid personal injury or death, read the following precautions thoroughly and insist on
anyone who works with you or for you, that they follow the precautions
.
2.
For the sake of clarity, some photographs or illustrations may be used with these
instructions that show a unit with a safety guard that has been removed. However,
please note that the equipment should never be used with a safety guard removed.
Keep all safety guards in place. If it is necessary to remove a safety guard when
carrying out repairs, the safety guard must be refitted or replaced before the unit is
used.
3.
Any missing or illegible safety labels or instruction labels must be replaced. The
locations of the labels are shown in this user manual.
4.
Never consume alcohol or substances of any kind that can reduce your attention or
coordination when using the equipment. Consult your doctor with regard to using the
machine if taking prescription medicine.
5.
Under no circumstances may children be allowed to use the machine or
equipment. Do not allow persons to use the machine or equipment if they have
not read the user manual and do not have a thorough understanding of the
safety precautions and functions
. The safety instructions should be reviewed
annually with all users of the machine.
6.
The equipment is hazardous to children and to persons who are unfamiliar with the
equipment. The operator must be a responsible and properly trained person who is in
good physical shape and has been trained in how to operate the machine. If older
people help with the work, their physical limitations must be recognised and taken into
account.
7.
Never exceed a machine’s limitations. If there is uncertainty as to whether the machine
is able to carry out the task or whether the task can be carried out safely –
THEN DO
NOT ATTEMPT TO CARRY OUT THE TASK.
8.
Do not make any changes or modifications to the equipment. Unauthorised changes
or modifications can lead to serious personal injury or death and can reduce the
function and lifetime of the equipment.
9.
In addition to the design and configuration of the machine, including safety signs and
safety equipment, hazard control is very dependent on the user paying special
attention, taking care and exercising caution, and on the correct training of the
personnel involved in the operation, transport, maintenance and storage of the
equipment. Ensure that you also read the tractor’s user manual and safety instructions
and safety labels.
