Use one hand to move the lever (1) in the direction shown and the other hand to move
the other lever (2) in the direction shown. The piston will quickly move forward and
split the piece of wood. Move the lever (2) in the opposite direction and a spring
ensures that the piston immediately returns to its original position and the machine is
ready to split the next piece of wood. Keep the hands on the lever at al times and
activate and deactivate the levers manually.

The handle #2 should be operated quickly for better and smoother engagement of the
rack and pinion.

If the wood is not split in the first attempt, quickly disengage the rack and pinion to
return the splitting head, wait till the split head STOP bouncing and then try splitting
the piece again.
7.
If the wood cannot be split after 3 attempts, try splitting from a different angle or cut
the wood down to smaller sized.
8.
Move the split wood away from the worksite and repeat the procedure to split the next
piece of wood.
