Check Lamp Orientation
• Always ensure the side with the getter is closest to
the electronics compartment (luminaire housing).
• If lamp design allows, position the lamp so that
melting point is facing downward—away from the
reflector
.

Secure Lamp
• Applying pressure from the outside, slide both lock
levers toward each other until they’re fully engaged
in the “connect” position.

Open Lamp Holders
• Make sure the plastic “lock levers” on both lamp
holders are in the “open” or “disconnect” position
by pushing the sliding mechanisms outwards.
NOTE:
Wear cotton gloves or wash hands thoroughly with soap &
water to remove any grime/oils before handling lamps.

Check Lamp Lead Wires
• Before installing the lamp, always first check that the
lead wires (both ends of lamp) are intact and
straight. Lead wires should NOT be bent or frayed.

Insert Lamp
• (A) Carefully place one end of the lamp one of the
lamp holders. Supporting the lamp in the middle,
apply gentle pressure on the lamp to compress the
circular spring mechanism on the inside of the lamp
holder until you are able to insert the opposite end
of the lamp into the opposite end. (B) Slide both
lamp ends downward as far as they will go.

Rotate Lamp
• Rotate the lamp by 90 degrees into the horizontal
“lock” position.
