ECLIPSE 4000 SAFETY GUIDANCE cont...
4. At or below the Occupational Exposure Limit (0.1ppm), the
ozone smells like very fresh air immediately after a
thunderstorm. As the concentration increases toward 0.2ppm,
it exhibits a sharp “bleachy” odour. A strong smell of ozone
normally indicates an ozone concentration which exceeds
the 15 minute exposure limit (0.2ppm). At this concentration,
irritation or soreness within the throat may be experienced. It
must be re-iterated that due to different nose sensitivities, the
smell of ozone should not be relied upon to indicate the likely
ozone concentration.
