Pre-selecting the Speed
The speed setting dial sets the max speed of the drill.
1. Rotate the dial in a clockwise
direction to increase the max
speed or in an anti-clockwise
direction to decrease the max
speed.
Changing Operation Mode
To change operation modes, follow the procedure below:
1. Hold the locking button down
2. Rotate the mode selector dial to
the desired mode
Operation Modes:
Hammer Drill:
This setting is recommended for use
when drilling holes in concrete and other
masonry products. The hammer action
will be in operation while the drill bit
rotates.
Drilling:
This setting is recommended for use
when you desire the accessory to
rotate without hammer action. Ideal for
drilling into timber or steel when correct
accessories for such materials are used.
1. Turn handle locking knob
anti-clockwise to loosen and
insert the depth rod into the
slot provided.
3. To secure the depth rod in
position, retighten the handle
locking knob.
2. Adjust the depth rod so
the drill bit extends to the
required drilling depth.
4. Drill the hole until the end of
the depth rod touches the
workpiece.

The depth rod allows you to drill to a predetermined depth.

NOTE:
PRIOR TO CHANGING MODES, THE
VARIABLE SPEED TRIGGER SHOULD BE
RELEASED AND THE DRILL SHOULD HAVE
COME TO A COMPLETE STOP.
5. Hold the drill firmly and place the bit at the point to be drilled.
6. Depress the variable speed
trigger to start the drill.
7. Move the drill bit into the
workpiece.
Note:
Do not force the drill or apply side pressure to elongate the
hole. Let the drill do the work.
