Setting the cutting height
1. Fit the harness so that the shoulder pads
sit on the shoulders and the plate hangs
down at the waste.
2. Hook the trimmer to
the carrying belt.
3. In order to establish the optimum length
of the harness, you should then make
a few swinging movements without
starting the engine. Using the various
strap adjusters on the harness, make
adjustments until you achieve the most
comfortable working and cutting position.
4. The harness is fitted with a quick-release
mechanism. Pull the strap if you need to put
down the trimmer quickly.
Adding fuel
1. Unscrew the fuel tank cap.
2. Pour in up to 0.65 litres of unleaded
petrol up to filler neck. If you spill any
petrol, wipe it up and wait until the
vapours have evaporated, to avoid
danger of ignition.
3. Close the tank cap.
Adding oil
1. Unscrew the dip stick.
3. Replace the dip stick / sump plug.
