ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Spread tent out flat, floor side down. Stake tent to the ground by inserting the
metal stakes through the stake loops at each tent corner and hammer the stakes into the
ground at a 45° angle by using a hammer or mallet. Make sure to pull the tent floor out
even and tight. Continue to stake down the tent by inserting
metal stakes through the stake loops attached to the plastic
Fast Feet and the remaining stake loops. Hammer stakes into
the ground securely. There are also stake down points on
either side of the mud mat.
STEP 5:
Thread the two side room poles through the pole sleeves
above each of the two side rooms. Position poles so that equal
pole lengths extend on either side of the pole sleeve.
TO IMPROVE THE WEATHER RESISTANCE OF YOUR TENT, IT IS ADVISABLE
TO USE SEAM SEALER TO COAT ALL EXPOSED SEAMS. YOU SHOULD
APPLY ONLY TO THE INSIDE SEAMS OF THE TENT AND UNDERSIDE OF
THE TENT FLY. IF APPLIED TO THE OUTSIDE SEAMS, DISCOLORATION OF
YOUR TENT MAY OCCUR. SEAM SEALER IS AVAILABLE IN THE
CAMPING SECTION OF ANY LOCAL SPORTING GOODS STORE.
IMPORTANT:
WE ADVISE YOU TO ASSEMBLE THE TENT ONCE BEFORE
GOING CAMPING TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE ASSEMBLY OF THE TENT.
TO PROLONG THE LIFE OF THE TENT FLOOR, SELECT A LEVEL, CLEAN AREA
FOR THE CAMPSITE. TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ZIPPER, UNZIP THE DOOR
TO ALLOW AIR TO ENTER THE TENT.
Two divider curtains are included which can be attached to the inside walls of your
tent to separate into three sleeping rooms.
MODEL WMT922.4A
10-PERSON 20'X10' TENT
NOTE:
PLEASE LOOK AT THE REPLACEMENT PARTS DIAGRAM TO SEE HOW
YOUR FRAME IS ASSEMBLED.
STEP 2:
Extend each of the fiberglass poles by pulling out each section and placing
pole section ends into the metal ferrule connectors. Don’t let the ends of the fiberglass
poles snap together, as it could damage the ends of the fiberglass pole sections or
the metal ferrule connectors. You will have four fiberglass poles. The shorter
fiberglass poles (A) are the main room tent
poles. The longer fiberglass poles (B) are
the side room tent poles.
STEP 3:
While making sure the sleeves are in line
with each other, slide the main room tent poles (A)
through the sleeves that are opposite each other on
the center roof of the tent. Straighten the sleeves
along the fiberglass poles. Position poles so that
they form an “X” across the roof of the tent.
STEP 4:
Locate the four plastic joints (C) that are attached to the tent
canopy. Insert the ends of the main room poles into the small openings
of the plastic joints at the back of the tent. Insert the poles into the plastic
joints at the front of the tent by flexing the poles into an arch.
Assembled tent should
appear as shown.
STEP 10:
Unfold fly and with the help of another person, place fly over
tent. Make certain the fly arch pole sleeve is located over the door. Attach
hooks on the fly corners to metal “D” rings on the four steel poles.
STEP 11:
Fasten the Velcro fasteners to the tent poles on each
end of the tent and attach the hooks on the fly corners to the
fabric loops sewn to the tent.
STEP 13:
Guy ropes are also provided for the four fly
corners. Extend each of the guy ropes. Make a loop at
the opposite end of the guy rope, by using slider (as shown)
and place loop over plastic tent stake. Adjust slider to make
guy rope tight and stake to the ground.
NOTE: DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN GUY ROPES, AS THIS COULD CAUSE
TENT POLES TO FLATTEN AND POSSIBLY BREAK.
STEP 6:
Extend the four steel, wire-corded poles.
STEP 7:
Insert the upper end of one of the steel tent poles (D) into
the free end of one of the plastic corner joints. Make sure the “D”
ring on the steel pole is on the upper end of the pole - this will be
used for the fly attachment in step10. Repeat this step with the
remaining three steel tent poles and corner joints.
STEP 8:
One adult should now enter the front door of the tent and lift the tent and frame
poles up off the ground. The other adult should raise the steel tent poles, one at a time,
and place the ends of the poles closest to the ground over the
plastic Fast Feet at the base of the tent. Repeat with the other steel
tent poles. The plastic Fast Feet are located on either side of the
door and rear window at the base of the tent.
STEP 9:
Next, with an adult on opposite ends of the side
room poles, flex the poles into an upward arch and place
the pole ends into the Fast Feet at the base of the tent. The
side room poles should follow the seam line of the tent.
Tent should appear
as shown.
NOTE:
To take down tent, follow steps above in the reverse order. Be sure to leave
tent doors and windows unzipped. Place stakes into stake bag and poles into pole
bag, which are provided. The tent should be folded into equal parts toward the
center of the tent to distribute the bulk. Fold fly and lay on top of tent. Start a small
tight roll, the width of your carry bag, with the pole bag placed at the end opposite
the door. Roll tent toward door to allow air to escape. Once rolled, secure with
strings. Place tent and stake bag into carry bag.
MAKE SURE TENT IS CLEAN
AND DRY BEFORE STORING.
STEP 12
: Insert the fly pole (E) into the sleeve at the very edge of the fly awning,
over the front door. Flex the fiberglass fly pole and insert each end into the reinforced
metal grommets located on either side of the front door.
