Do not tighten the union nut of the elbow fitting before having adjusted the length of the cable on the roof.

After allowing sealant to dry,
test for waterproof seal.

d) Apply sealing compound all around the lower edge of the threaded elbow fitting and the self-tapping screws.
e) The cable can be coiled up inside the vehicle if it is too long.
Check the cable inlet, the self-tapping screws and the foot of the threaded elbow fitting for leaks.
