OPERATORS QUICK GUIDE
It is important for the safety of the operator and the
machine to follow these instructions
PLEASE REFER TO IN DEPTH INSTRUCTONS BEFORE FIRST USE
Pre-Operation Checklist
•
Grease the slider every 10 hours of operation and
pre/post season.
•
Check that all hydraulic fittings and connections are
tight and in good condition.
•
Check for damaged, worn, missing parts and replace if
necessary.
•
Replace missing or illegible safety decals.
•
Inspect the log holding device for damage
Operating Checklist
•
Position the log splitter on solid level ground when
operating.
•
Start the engine and adjust the throttle to suit the
work being done (check the engine manual for
details.)
•
Position the log on the operating table so it is lined up
with the centre of the wedge
•
Secure the log firmly using the log holding device
•
Using both hands lift the safety leavers to lower the
wedge to split the log. The speed can be controlled by
how much pressure you put on the control valve.
•
Using both hands, lower the operating leavers to lift
the ram back to the desired height
