Installation and initial putting
into service of the point-of-use
water filter
1 First install the enclosed micro-filtration
cartridge into the Mycare ( see
chapter “Replacing the cartridges”, from
step 3).
2 Snap the Mycare water filter into
the wall-mounting brackets.
Pay attention to the flow direction
3 Connect the Mycare water filter
with approved and appropriate tubing,
piping or hoses to the shut-off valve, as
well as to the faucet.
4 Open the cold water shut-off valve and
the faucet carefully so that the air can
escape from the system.
5 Slightly unscrew the bleed screw
because the microfiltration cartridge
must also be vented.
6 Re-tighten the bleed screw once all the
air has been vented (see fig. 7).
7 Keep on flushing with at least 3 liters of
water (i. e. 10 minutes at rated flow) or
until the effluent is clear.
8 Turn the faucet off.
9 Set up the indicator for the next filter ch-
ange.
Move the indicator button on the flange
cover to the next filter change require-
ment (filter change every 3 months at the
latest).
The Mycare water filter is now ready for
use!

Particles of activated carbon may
become dislodged from the car-
tridge during flushing.
This has no bearing on the filter
function and only underlines the
efficiency of the cartridge type
used.
Should these particles prove to be
an optical disturbance, please
simply rinse the activated carbon
block filter cartridge for a few
minutes before installing the mi-
cro-filter cartridge at the next re-
quired cartridge change.
