PRECAUTIONS
General information
Read this installation guide and the safety instructions carefully before starting installation of
this product. All the instructions given must be followed closely and this guide must be stored
in a safe place throughout the service life of your product. Any installation or use outside the
specified field of application is forbidden. This invalidates the warranty and excludes all liability, as
does any failure to comply with the instructions given herein.
General safety instructions
- Do not try to open the housing.
- Avoid impacts or dropping.
- Never immerse the product in liquid.
- Do not use abrasive products or solvents to clean the product. Its surface can be cleaned using a soft
dry cloth.
- Do not use this product outdoors. Do not route the cables outdoors.
- Only connect the product to the Hattara® DIN Rail CU module.
- Connect the product after a safety equipment according to local standards.
- Turn on the power after having fixed it on the DIN rail.
- Do not try to insert any object into connectors or into openings.
- Any use or modification of the equipment not foreseen by this guide can endanger users.
The product can be switched off completely by siwtching off the security equipment upstream.
INSTALLATION
Caution: equipment connected to the 230V socket.
Prerequisites
- Need a panel box with a DIN rail TS-35/7.5 or TS-35/15 format as well as an electrical protection
equipment, according to local standards, installed upstream the product.
- The installation or removal of the module must be carried switched off.
- Installation to be performed by a professional.
- The Hattara DIN Rail PSU supply unit can be used to supply a maximum of 4 radio modules.
- The equipment must be installed on a concrete surface or on any other non combustible surface.
Installation
Please, refer to “Illustration” paragraph for more details
- Switch off the protection equipment.
- Fix the Hattara® DIN Rail Power supply module on the din rail starting with the top of the module
and then pushing the bottom of the module to the rail. If needed, manoeuvre down the Rail fixation
clip with a flat screwdriver.
- Strip the 2 wires (Line and Neutral) from the protection equipment and insert into the power terminal
bloc of Hattara® DIN Rail Power Supply Unit provided for this purpose, regarding the polarity (see
Product Description section - Mains connector).
- Tighten the 2 screws from the mains connector and ensure that the cables do not move out.
- Switch on the protection equipment.
- Verify that the status indicator is turned on green.
- Switch off one more time the protection equipment to install the Hattara® DIN Rail CU module (Check
out the dedicated installation guide for more informations).
In case of installation issue
Power supply module removal :
- Switch off the protection equipment.
- Unscrew the 2 power supply module screws then remove the wires.
- Put a flat screwdriver in the rail fixation clip.
- Pull the lower part of the module while maintaining the rail fixation clip down.
