Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference. Check that your domestic electricity
supply matches that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance to an earthed socket.
Important Safety Instructions:
• Only connect the unit to an AC power supply. The voltage listed on the rating plate must coincide with the
voltage of your power supply.
• Never leave the unit unattended during use.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Avoid danger of tripping and hanging down the electric cable.
• Keep the electric cable away from hot surfaces and open flames or sharp edges.
• Never touch the electric cable and plug with wet hands.
• Never immerse the unit, electric cable or plug into water or other liquids
• Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or after the unit malfunctions or is dropped or
damaged in any manner.
• A damaged unit can only be repaired by a qualified specialist. Never attempt to repair any damages by
yourself.
• Only use the unit on a heat-resistance surface. Never position the unit close to hot surfaces or open flames.
Keep a distance of at least 70cm from combustible materials
• Do not use this appliance in rain or in damp environments as such can lead to danger through electric
shock!
• Do not use multiple outlet strips or extension cables.
• The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control
system.
• The electrical cable should never come into contact with sharp, hot or moving objects.
• Never use this device with the cord tangled or cover the cord with in any way.
• This heater is not a toy. Do not let small children play wit the fan and place it out of their reach to reduce the
risk of personal injury and electric shock.
• The heater will remain hot for some time after it is turned off; handle with care.
• Do not run the cord under carpeting or cover it with rugs, runners, etc.
• Space heating only: Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended purpose, and only use it
as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended and may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
• No outdoor use: Do not use this appliance outdoors, on wet surfaces or in the immediate surroundings of a
swimming pool or bath.
• No clothes drying: Do not use this appliance as a drying rack for clothing.
• Ventilation: Only use this heater in a well-ventilated area. To prevent a possible fire, do not
• insert or allow objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings. Do not block air intakes or exhaust
openings in any manner.
• Do not touch during use: Do not touch the front grille during use, as it will become very hot. Do not insert
any objects through the grille into the interior of the appliance.
Fan operation
The heater is equipped with a fan, which can be used to run the appliance without heat output.
• Turn the function control to the fan icon and the temperature control to the highest position [ + ] to run the
appliance as a fan only, without heat output.
Switching off
• When you no longer need the heater, turn the function control to an OFF [ 0 ]position and the temperature
control to the minimum position [ - ].
• Unplug the heater from the power source.
TILT PROTECTION (TIP OVER SWITCH)
The appliance is fitted with a tip over safety switch, which switches the heater off automatically if it is tilted or
tips over. This prevents hazards caused by overheating. Should this happen, place the heater upright again,
but take care as it may still be hot. The heater will turn on again automatically once itis back in an upright
position.
WARNING: Always place the appliance on a smooth, horizontal surface. Avoid carpets in order to prevent
failure of the safety switch.

To ensure personal safety, do NOT use this heater:
• In front of or immediately below an electrical outlet socket.
• Close to a radiant heat source.
• On long pile carpet or a floaty rug.
• Behind a door.
• Near a window where it may get splashed with rain.
• Near flammable materials or surfaces(such as furniture, curtains, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes). Keep such
materials at least 1m away from the front of the heater and 50cm from the sides and rear of the heater.
• In any areas where petrol, paint or other flammable substances are stored/used,(such as in a garage or
workshop), as the heater has hot and arcing parts inside which may spark.
• In the immediate vicinity of a bath, shower or swimming pool.
Do not open:
All covers are intended to prevent direct access to the heating elements and must be in
place when the appliance is in use.
Storage:
To avoid damaging the heater during storage or transport, keep the heater in a dry place, free
from excessive vibration.
Connection
• Make sure both controls are in the OFF[ 0 / - ] positions, then plug the heater into an appropriate electrical
outlet and switch on power to the outlet.
• Always use a separate socket that has no other high wattage appliances connected at the same time – do
not plug it into a power board or socket adaptor; do not use an extension cord.
Setting the temperature
The heater has a thermostat, which you can set to maintain the room temperature at the desired level.
• Turn the knob clockwise to the highest setting [ + ] until the room is comfortably warm.
• When the room temperature is comfortable, slowly rotate the knob anticlockwise (turn to the left) until the
heater cycles off audibly and the indicator lamp turns off. The heater will now cycle on and off to maintain
the room temperature at this set level.
Selecting a function:
The function control has 8 settings, as listed below:

Oscillation
The heater has an oscillation (swing)function of approximately 45°, which helps to provide uniform heating
or ventilation.
• On the first 4 positions of the function control (turning clockwise), the appliance works with oscillation. On
the remaining 4positions, it works without oscillation.
• To stop the swing while the appliance is oscillating, wait until the airflow is in the desired direction, then
turn the function control to [ 0 ] before selecting the relevant output function without oscillation.
CAUTION: Never attempt to adjust the swiveling mechanism manually, as it could damage the heater.
OVERHEAT PROTECTION
This heater is equipped with an automatic reset temperature control (overheat protection), which switches
the heater off automatically in the event of abnormal overheating. While this feature provides additional safe-
ty in case of overheating, first and foremost you should make sure to eliminate all potential reasons that can
lead to overheating and create a fire risk.
• If the overheat protection has been triggered, turn the function control to the[ 0 ] position and unplug the
heater from the wall outlet. Let the heater cool for about 10 minutes. Eliminate the cause of the overheat-
ing (for example, excessive dust in the heater, or the air outlet is covered) and start it up again.
• If after eliminating the cause you still cannot switch the heater back on, or if the overheat protection circuit
switches on without an apparent reason, contact your local store for advice.

Lesen Sie diese Anleitung vor dem Gebrauch sorgfältig durch und bewahren Sie sie zum späteren Nachschlagen

Wichtige Sicherheitshinweise:
• Verbinden Sie das Gerät nur mit einer Wechselstromversorgung. Die Spannungsangabe auf dem Typen-

• Fassen Sie das Stromkabel und den Netzstecker nie mit feuchten Händen an.
• Tauchen Sie das Gerät, das Stromkabel oder den Netzstecker nie in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten.
• Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht, falls das Kabel oder der Netzstecker beschädigt ist, falls eine Fehlfunktion
aufgetreten ist oder falls das Gerät durch Herunterfallen oder auf andere Weise beschädigt wurde.
• Ein beschädigtes Gerät kann nur von einer Fachkraft repariert werden. Versuchen Sie in keinem Fall, selbst
Reparaturen vorzunehmen.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur auf einer hitzebeständigen Fläche. Stellen Sie das Gerät in keinem Fall in der
Nähe heißer Oberflächen oder offener Flamme auf. Halten Sie einen Mindestabstand von 70 cm zu brenn-
baren Stoffen und Materialien ein.

• Das Heizgerät darf nicht mit aufgerolltem Kabel verwendet werden. Entrollen Sie es immer vollständig.
• Führen Sie das Kabel nicht unter Teppichen hindurch und decken Sie es nicht mit Teppichen, Läufern usw. ab.
• Nur Raumbeheizung: Verwenden Sie dieses Gerät nicht für andere Zwecke als den bestimmungsgemäßen

• In der Nähe von brennbaren Materialien oder Oberflächen (z. B. Möbel, Vorhänge, Kissen, Bettwäsche,
Papiere, Kleidung). Halten Sie solche Materialien mindestens einen Meter von der Vorderseite des
Heizgeräts sowie 50 cm von den Seiten und der Rückseite des Heizgeräts fern.
• Bereiche, in denen Benzin, Farbe oder andere brennbare Stoffe gelagert/verwendet werden (z. B. in einer
Garage oder Werkstatt), da das Heizgerät heiße Teile enthält, die Funken werfen können.
• In unmittelbarer Nähe einer Badewanne, einer Dusche oder eines Swimmingpools.
Nicht öffnen:
Alle Abdeckungen sollen einen direkten Zugang zu den Heizelementen verhindern und
müssen bei Benutzung des Geräts angebracht sein.
Lagerung:
Bewahren Sie das Heizgerät an einem Ort auf, der trocken und vor Erschütterungen geschützt
ist, um Schäden am Heizgerät während der Lagerung oder beim Transport zu vermeiden.
Inbetriebnahme
• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass sich beide Schalter in der Position OFF [0 / -] befinden. Schließen Sie das
Heizgerät an eine geeignete Steckdose an und schalten Sie das Gerät ein.
• Verwenden Sie immer eine separate Steckdose, an der keine anderen Geräte mit hoher Wattleistung
angeschlossen sind. Betreiben Sie es nicht mit einem Netz- oder Steckdosenadapter. Verwenden Sie kein
Verlängerungskabel.
Einstellen der Temperatur
Das Heizgerät verfügt über ein Thermostat, das Sie einstellen können, um die Raumtemperatur auf dem
gewünschten Niveau zu halten.
• Drehen Sie den Knopf im Uhrzeigersinn auf die höchste Einstellung [+], bis der Raum angenehm warm ist.
• Wenn die Raumtemperatur angenehm ist, drehen Sie den Knopf langsam gegen den Uhrzeigersinn (nach
links), bis sich die Heizung hörbar ausschaltet und die Signalleuchte erlischt. Das Heizgerät schaltet sich
nun selbständig ein und aus, um die Raumtemperatur auf diesem eingestellten Wert zu halten.
