Important notes for your safety are marked with special symbols. Be sure to follow these instructions to protect you from
accidents and to prevent damage to the unit:

Warns of dangers to your health and indicates possible injury risks.

Indicates potential hazards to the device or other objects.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before operating this device, read the operating instructions carefully and keep them including receipt / invoice and, if
possible, the box with inner packaging on well. If you pass this device on to third parties, please include this manual with it.
• To avoid the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the device to rain or expose to moisture. Do not operate the device
in the immediate vicinity of water (e.g. bathroom, swimming pool, damp basement).
• Do not use the device in extremely hot, cold, dusty or damp locations.
• Use the device only for the private and intended purpose. This device is not intended for commercial use.
• Make sure that the power cord is not kinked or pinched, or that it comes into contact with heat sources.
• Make sure the power cord is not a trip hazard.
• Never touch the power plug or the cable with wet hands.
• Only connect the device to a properly installed power outlet. Be sure that the specified voltage matches the voltage of
the socket.
• The mains plug must always be easy to reach.
• Always insert batteries in the correct direction.
• Do not cover any ventilation openings with objects, such as Magazines, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
• Do not expose the device to dripping or splashing and do not place any container filled with liquids, such as e.g. flower
vases on the device.
• Open fire sources, such as e.g. burning candles must not be placed on the device.
• Never open the housing of the device. Improper repairs can cause significant risks for the user. In the event of damage
to the device, especially the power cable, do not put the device into operation, but have it repaired by a specialist. Check
mains cable regularly for damage.
• A faulty power cord may only be replaced by the manufacturer, our customer service or a similarly qualified person with
an equivalent cable in order to avoid hazards.

The flash symbol is intended to alert the user to parts inside the device that carry

maintenance instructions in the accompanying documents.
Devices with this symbol work with a "class 1 laser" to scan the CD. The
built-in safety switches are designed to prevent the user from being exposed to dangerous
laser light that is invisible to the human eye when the CD compartment is open. These
safety switches should never be bypassed or manipulated, otherwise there is a risk that
you will be exposed to the laser expose light.
Children and infirm persons
• For the safety of your children, do not leave any packaging (plastic bag, cardboard, polystyrene etc.)
within reach.
