6.6.1 Folding down the side panels

To make getting into the wheelchair easier and for transportation, the side panels can be folded down.

Elevating the side panels

1)  Press the side panel locking mechanism (see fig. 22).
2)  Fold back the side panel (see fig. 23).

Swinging back the side panels

1)  Fold the side panel forward.
2)  The side panel locking mechanism has to audibly engage in the side panel adapter.

INFORMATION: Verify the firm fit of the side panels in the side panel adapters.

6.6.2 Removing the side panels

INFORMATION

Side panels with permanent screw connections cannot be removed.

To make getting into the wheelchair easier and for transportation, the plug-on side panels can be removed.

Removing the side panels

1)  Fold back the side panel (see previous section).
2)  Press in the pushbutton (see fig. 24).
3)  Take the side panel out of the adapter.

Installing the side panels

1)  Insert the side panel in the adapter.
2)  Press in the pushbutton and allow the side panel to engage in the adapter (see fig. 25).
3)  Fold the side panel forward and lock it (see previous section).
