Mounting the positioning vest
1) Rivet the clips (see fig. 50, item 1) in the bore holes of the back support (see fig. 51).
2) Place the positioning vest on the seat bottom. The fastening straps (see fig. 50, item 5) have to face the seat
bottom.
3) Thread the shoulder harness (see fig. 50, item 2) through the padding and back support (see fig. 38) and
secure in the clips at the back (see fig. 52, item 1).
4) Run the middle and lower attachment straps (see fig. 50, item 3, 4) around the back support tubes to the rear
and secure them in the clips (see fig. 52, item 2).
5) If necessary, cut off protruding belt ends of the attachment straps and seal the loose ends by applying heat
(e.g. with a lighter).

The qualified personnel is responsible for making sure that the user and/or attendant/nursing staff has under
stood the proper adjustment, use, maintenance and care of the belt system.

In particular, ensure that the user and/or attendant/care staff knows how to quickly loosen and open the
product to avoid delays in case of emergency.
6.3.1 Thoracic supports (lateral supports)
INFORMATION
The back support cover can first be removed to make the installation tasks described below easier.
1) Run the proper sides of the thoracic supports through the pad. The pointed sides of the support pads face up,
the rounded sides face down (see fig. 53).
INFORMATION: For folding thoracic supports only: The red release button on the folding thoracic sup
port can face up or down. We recommend mounting the thoracic support so the release button faces
up, making it easier to use.
2) Put the respective mounting screws through the slotted hole in the thoracic support and the back support (see
fig. 53, item 1; see fig. 54, item 1).
3) Fasten the thoracic supports on the rear of the back support using knurled nuts.
4) If necessary, adjust the width and height. Tighten the knurled nuts.
