Inserting the casting tube with retaining ring (

Optional: stepping into the casting tube on a trial basis (

By  stepping  in  on  a  trial  basis  without  plaster  bandages,  the  correct  height  adjustment  for  the
adapter ring can be determined and the length setting for the casting tube can be checked.

►

: To achieve the best possible compression, press the distal end of the casting tube against

the remaining limb during the entire process of stepping in.

►

: 

CAUTION! 

Only with patients who are physically able, have the patient put all the weight

on the remaining limb to check whether additional protection measures are needed (padding
for example).
