The "4X880=* Genium Protective Cover" is referred to simply as the Protective Cover/product
below.
These instructions for use provide you with important information on the use, adaptation and
handling of the product.
Only put the product into use in accordance with the information contained in the accompanying

2 Product description
2.1 Design
The product consists of the following components:
The Protective Cover consists of the following components:
1. Protective Cover main unit
2. Upper closure
3. Lengthwise closure
4. Protector foot cuff for Protective Cover
2.2 Function
The Protective Cover provides a means of enclosing the Genium electronic knee joint, including
the tube adapter, to enhance its appearance and function. The housing of the knee joint is protec­
ted against external influences by the Protective Cover, e.g. scratching and surface contamina­
tion. The Protective Cover is not required for the proper and safe functioning of the joint.
