2. Paint Used:

Except for some part, the paint used by the liquid electrostatic spray gun is mostly
synthetic resin based paint for obtaining better liquid electrostatic enclosing effect. So
there’s no need to specially condition the paint. However the solvent must be adjusted
according to the conductivity level of the paint.

The paint conductivity tester can be used to measure the paint resistance value.The
optimal paint resistance value should be 20~30 mega ohms.

Judgment of the liquid electrostatic enclosing effect:
Put up a dia. 2cm steel pipe on the ground and spray at the front face and then check the
backside. If a coating film is formed on the backside, it means a good liquid electrostatic
enclosing effect

Metal and water based paints belong to conductive paint having extremely low resistance
value, so it is impossible to expect a satisfactory liquid electrostatic enclosing effect.
Under HV output, such conductive paint tends to produce large amounts of electrons
which flow back to the pump or paint bucket through the paint tube, thus activating
the current intercepting protection circuit of the liquid electrostatic power supply and
triggering the buzzer. In the meantime, the output of HV will be intercepted as well. In
this case, turn off the power source of the liquid electrostatic power supply, shut off the
buzzer and restart the machine to restore normal standby status.
3 . FOR waterborne coating
a) All cable (H.V CABLE , AIR TUBE , SPRAY TUBE ) have to use cover to prevent
leaking electrostatic power.For example , you can use nylon cover to isolate it.
b) All cable (H.V CABLE, AIR TUBE , SPRAY TUBE ) can not touch on ground .
c) The Tank of Waterborne coatings ,pump and air dryer have to leave 30 cm on
ground.
d) Adjusting Electrostatic power to 20 ~ 40 kv , it is depend on your Waterborne coatings
