Hush mode
When the alarm sounds, press the «Test» button to switch the detector to Hush mode for
approximately 9 minutes. The indicator next to this button flashes once every 10 seconds
in red. The detector will automatically exit Hush mode after 9 minutes. If at this time smoke
is still present, the alarm will sound again. Hush mode can be activated again.
CAUTION!
The detector is optimized to minimize false detections. Before going into hush
mode, identify the origin of the detection and make sure there is no danger.
DANGER !
When the alarm sounds when no test is in progress, it means smoke is
detected.
IF THE ALARM SIGNAL SOUNDS, IMMEDIATELY GIVE YOUR UNDIVIDED
ATTENTION AND TAKE ACTION!
Description of LED indicators
• The indicator light located next to the «TEST» button flashes red approximately every
344 seconds to indicate that the detector is functioning correctly.
• The indicator light located next to the «TEST» button flashes red approximately once
per second: when the test is in progress, or when smoke is detected.The indicator light and
beep stop when the test button is released or when there is no more smoke.
• The red indicator light flashes approximately once every 10 seconds: hush mode
activated.
• The indicator light located next to the «TEST» button flashes red approximately once
every 43 seconds with a beep: low battery warning. A long press on the test button
pauses the alarm for 8 hours. After this time, the alarm will automatically reactivate.
Replace the detector.
• The alarm is activated every 43 seconds: fault indication. Replace the detector.
• The indicator light located next to the «LEARN» button flashes green 3 times quickly
every 43 seconds: alarm memorization mode.
This mode signals that the alarm has been triggered, it is maintained for 24 hours. Pressing
the «Test» button for the first time when the alarm is triggered switches the detector to hush
mode. Releasing the button cancels memorization mode. Pressing the test button again
starts the test.
Low battery signal
The smoke detector warns you when the battery is depleted with an audible signal and a
flashing light approximately every 43 seconds. It’s time to replace your smoke detector.
This signal is activated at least during the last 30 days of the battery life.
Maintenance
The effectiveness of the detector depends on its proper maintenance. Once a month,
vacuum the dust that has settled in front of the detection chamber using the brush nozzle of
the vacuum cleaner, then run a dry cloth over the shell, make sure that the cloth used does
