3.4 Power ON the Expansion Unit

The expansion system is switched ON by the Host system.

A “Power On / Sideband” signal is sent

to the cable indicating to the expansion

system to power ON or OFF. The expansion unit will turn ON automatically upon powering up the Host computer. The two front LEDs (PWR and
FAN) will come ON as “solid-green”. The green LED indicates that the chassis is powered.

Powering down the Host computer turns OFF the expansion system.
