6.2 

Cleaning the Cooling fans 

The chassis is equipped with an air filter that is easy to remove and clean. To keep your chassis running at its coolest, you should clean it 
regularly.  How often the cooling fans require cleaning depends on environmental conditions where your OSS Expansion chassis is located. To 
clean the cooling fans, follow these simple steps.  First, power down the chassis and then loosen the thumbscrews to remove the top cover.  
Next, remove the fan housing . 
 

 

 

Locate the two mounting screws located on both sides of the unit (see pictures below).  
 

 

 
 

Slowly pull the fan housing in slanted position. 
 

 

 
 

Pull the fan housing upward.
