GIS-type medium-voltage switchgear with full insulation in gas, up to 38 kV,
in accordance with IEEE Standards
IG-197-US version 02; 07/11/2019
7.4.2 Grounding
Initial conditions: busbar disconnector closed
and grounding switch open.
1. Disconnect the main busbar disconnector.
2. Connect the grounding switch by turning the lever
clockwise.

Condition after turning the lever
To open the grounding connection, proceed in
reverse order.
7.5 Fuse replacement sequence in cpg.1-f
Since this is a switch-fuse combination cubicle, any of the
three fuses blowing causes the busbar disconnector to open
automatically.
When a fuse blows, this is indicated unequivocally by the red
indicator which appears on the front of the operation panel.

Blown fuse indication
1. To access the fuses, close the grounding switch and,
once you have removed the medium voltage cables
and fuse access cover and identified the blown fuse
(the striker will be in the up position), turn the handle of
the corresponding fuse holder cover upwards until the
locking clip is unhooked and then pull sharply outwards.
