
If a non-existent control value and/or an invalid passcode is entered, the 8700i
will ignore the command.

You can apply this command any time after the 8700i boots up. The 30-minute
timeout does not apply.
15. To force hardwire relay bypass of the analog, AES3 and composite input/outputs:

(valid passcode and Setup name)
I/O BYPASS: BYPASSED|NOT BYPASSED
(invalid passcode)
[no error message is issued]

This command is intended as a “fail-safe” to allow the Optimod to be bypassed
manually if a failure occurs in the signal processing and this is not detected and
corrected automatically by the Optimod’s watchdogs forcing a reset. Of course,
if a failure occurs in the control hardware or software, the Optimod may be un-
able to respond to this command.

