Power On the Line Cards for Installation
Caution –
You must fully power on all fabric cards and fabric card fillers before
powering on the line cards. See “Power On the Fabric Cards for Installation” on
page 96 .
1. Identify the prerequisite and subsequent tasks you must perform in
conjunction with this procedure, to install the switch.
See the table in “Installation Sequence” on page 20 .
2. On the CMC, type:
where slot is the slot number of the installed line cards (
0
–
8
).
When a line card is activated, the OK LED is illuminated and the line card goes to
full power.
3. Repeat Step 2 for each installed line card.
4. Verify the line card status LEDs indicate a normal start up to full power.
The OK LED should be lit and the Attention LED should be unlit. See “Check the
Line Card Status LEDs” on page 103 .

2. Visually inspect the line card status LEDs.
