Assign Resources to the Partition
Resources assigned to a partition can only be used by that partition.
Assign each partition at least one bridged drive and one cartridge magazine.
Pre-requisites:

You are in the partitioning wizard (if not, see

You have already created at least one partitioning definition (if not, see

In the left-hand menu, select a partition.
The selected partition's name is bolded and has a dark box next to the name.

To add resources to the selected partition, click on an unassigned resource (gray
in color).

To remove resources from the selected partition, click on a resource the partition
owns (same color as the partition).

Once you are finished modifying the overall partitioning configuration, review your
changes and then click Next.
Delete an Existing Partition
Delete a partition to remove the partition definition and unassign all resources in the
partition.
Caution:
Before deleting a partition, make sure that it no longer holds tape cartridges
that contain valid data. When you reassign the slots, the host application that
controls the new partition may treat any resident tape cartridges as scratch
volumes.

Move all tape cartridges out of the partition you want to delete.
