Inside Scale:
(1) Homerun Cable
(Hardwired to J-Box)
(1) Junction Box
1. Carefully open box and remove scale.
2. Locate Access compartment (Bottom) and remove screws.
3. Route the homerun cable through the cable opening on the underside of the scale.
4. Close the compartment latch with screws.
5. Screw all (4) feet into the 4 load cells located on the underside of each corner.
Note: Do not screw in so deep that the end of the screw touches the scale platform. (Screwing in
too deep will interfere with load cell performance.)
6. Place the scale on a flat surface. If not level, lift the scale slightly and adjust scale feet with a
screwdriver, working through the feet access holes on top. Screw clockwise to lift and counterclock-
wise to lower. Use a bubble level to verify stability.
7. Connect the homerun cable to the indicator.
8. Plug the AC adapter to the indicator and power on the indicator.
9. Once the indicator is powered on, wait for the display to count down to zero.
10. To ensure your scale is level, place an item of which you know the weight, such as a calibration
weight, on each corner of the scale. If a corner shows variation in the weight, adjust the feet ac-
cordingly.
11. Your scale is pre-calibrated and ready for use. (No additional calibration needed.)
12. In the event the weight reading is incorrect, please con-
tact Optima Scale and we will be happy to assist you with re-calibration.
