16.1. Laser  Safety 

The scanner emits laser beams.  

JIS C6802: 2005: Laser class 2 

IEC 825-1/EN 60825-1: Laser class 2 

FDA CDRH Laser class II. Complies with 21 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11 except for 
deviations pursuant to laser notice No. 50 dated June 24, 2007. 

Class II laser devices are not considered to be hazardous when used for their intended 
purpose. Avoid staring into the laser beam.
