The R8C and R15C come with a coil spring shock. Different spring
rates are used for different rider weights and riding terrain. Your bike
has been fitted with the best spring rate for your weight and riding.
If the spring feels too soft or too stiff, it can be changed to another
stiffness.
The shock can be made stiffer or softer by adjusting the preload on
the spring.
The shock should compress about .75 - 1 inch with rider sitting on
bike with all riding gear. This is called “SAG”.
If the correct SAG cannot be achieved, then the spring may need to
be changed to a stiffer or softer one.
