x The BDP-105AU can function as a dedicated Digital-to-Analogue Converter (DAC) and process external
digital audio signals with its internal SABRE

Reference audio processors. Three digital audio input
ports are available: OPTICAL, COAXIAL and USB DAC, all located on the back panel. The processed
analogue audio is available from the dedicated stereo (RCA and XLR) and multi-channel terminals.

A digital audio source device (such as a DVD/CD player, digital TV box, and PC or Mac) can be
connected directly to the input port through an Optical,Coaxial or USB cable (not included). Some
configurationmay be required on the source device to make sure the audio signal is sent out from the
correct output terminal. You can then use the
INPUT button on the OPPO remote to open the Input
Source Menuand select the desired input port.
The BDP-105AU supports up to 2ch/192kHz PCM signal through itsUSB audio input, and up to
2ch/96kHz PCM, Dolby Digital, DTS and AAC signal through itsOptical and Coaxial audio inputs.
To utilise the USB DAC input from a Windows computer (XP, Vista and Windows 7), a software driver
needs to be installed on the computer.The driver is available online at BDP-105AU support page on
the International Dynamics Australia Pty Ltd web site( www.internationaldynamics.com.au ).
No software driver is required for Mac computers.
We recommend usinga digital audio cable no longer than 13 feet (4m) to guarantee optimal bus
performance and correct interface operation.
