The iBOT carries the item to its destination, releases the item to the bin,
and cycles back to the loading column.
7. Place the next item on the pacing conveyor belt, and the process repeats.
You do not have to wait until the iBOT returns to place the next item. You
can continue to place items on the belt, assuming there are enough iBOTs
to deliver the product.
Note: If the barcode could not be read, the iBOT will send the item to the
designated no-read bin (or the optional return conveyor). The OPEX Induct
ELC Screen will display “No Read”, as shown in Figure 4-19. The operator can
then use the optional hand scanner (Figure 4-20) to enter the barcode into the
system, and send the item back through the machine.
