5.6.2. Contact Image Sensor

It is recommended the CIS glass be cleaned at the beginning or end of each

shift, or as needed. When noticing lines appearing on the run screen image

preview, it is likely there is something (toner, white out, paper, glue, etc.)

attached to the CIS glass. Wipe the CIS glass clean with a lint free cloth and

glass cleaner, for example Windex. Be sure to clean the top and bottom CIS.

The CIS’s are located underneath the transport door (Figure 5-17).
