A CompoNet communications system can be used in conjunction with a CS/CJ-series programmable
controller. You can connect up to 32 inverters to a CompoNet communications system and control
them.

CompoNet is the latest sensor & actuator layer open network, which is introduced and given its specifi-
cations by ODVA in 2006.
It is also released as the international standard IEC/PA62026-7 in August 2009.
CompoNet attains the industry's fastest class of communications, 1,000 signals per ms between con-
nected devices and the controller and provides a high-performance network environment never seen
before.
The CompoNet Communications Unit offers a wide range of communications options that address your
inverter application.
Remote I/O
The Remote I/O function is available in one of the following eight types. Configure the function that
suits your application.
Communications with CS/CJ-series

Basic Speed I/O
Remote I/O function included as standard in CompoNet.
Extended Speed I/O
Remote I/O function included as standard in CompoNet. This is the
default of this CompoNet Communications Unit.
Extended Speed and Acceleration Con-
trol
Extended Speed I/O function with an additional acceleration/deceler-
ation time configuration function.
Extended Speed and Torque Control
Extended Speed I/O function with an additional torque control func-
tion.
Extended Control I/O
Remote I/O optimized for the actual input/output functions of the
inverter.
It includes a torque control function.
Extended Control I/O and Multi function
I/O Monitor
Extended Control I/O function with an additional Multi-function Input
Monitor function.
It enables you to use the inverter inputs as general-purpose PLC
inputs by configuring an appropriate parameter.
Special I/O
Remote I/O function that provides functions similar to those available
in Modbus communication.
Flexible Format
Remote I/O function that allows you to select and allocate up to 10
words of parameter data for input and output.
