Caregiver Guide
>
Remove the Pod’s needle cap .

Using the pull tabs, remove and discard the white
paper backing from the adhesive .
>
Apply the Pod to the selected site .
>
Do not apply a Pod to any area of the skin with
an active infection . If you are unsure whether to
use a specific site, ask the individual’s healthcare
provider .
>
Run your finger around the adhesive to secure it .
>
Press

on the PDM .
>
To facilitate insertion, place one hand over the
Pod and make a wide pinch around the skin
surrounding the viewing window; this step is critical
if the insertion site does not have much fatty
tissue . Release the skin after the cannula inserts .
