STEP 6: Attach the Log Base
1. Attach the log cradle (#53) to the beam using the M10x35 hex bolt (#129) and M10 hex lock nut (#114). The tightness is ade -
quate for the rotation of the log cradle.
STEP 7: Add engine oil
1. Make sure the log splitter is on a level surface.
2. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick to add oil.
3. Refer to the separate owner’s engine manual for the required amount of SAE10W-30 engine oil; replace the oil filler cap
dipstick.
4. Check the engine oil level daily and add as necessary.
NOTE: During the break-in period, check the engine oil level frequently.
