Usage Tips
If the camera does not work as intended, or if an error message is displayed on
the screen, and you are unsure of what to do, refer to the information below to fix
the problem(s).
Troubleshooting


Battery
The camera does not work even when batteries are installed.
• Insert recharged batteries in the correct direction.

• Battery performance may have been reduced temporarily due to low
temperature. Take the batteries out of the camera, and warm them by putting
them in your pocket for a while.

Card
An error message is displayed.

The record button
Pictures cannot be taken.
• Turn the camera on.
If an option other then [Hold] is selected for [Autopw Off] in the SETUP
menu, the camera will turn off automatically if no operations are performed for
the selected period unless movie recording, continuous shooting, time-lapse
movie recording, or charging is in progress or the camera is connected via a
USB or to a smartphone. Rotate the power switch to
OFF and then back to
ON to turn the camera on again.
• Select shooting mode.
• With prolonged camera use, the internal temperature may increase, resulting
in automatic shutdown. If this occurs, wait until the camera has sufficiently
cooled.
The camera’s external temperature may also increase during use, however
this is normal and does not indicate malfunction.

Monitor
Difficult to see.
• Condensation may have occurred. Turn off the power, and wait for the camera
body to become acclimated to the surrounding temperature and dry out before
taking pictures.
