You can use this setting to create interesting effects in your
picture, such as expressing the movement of a car by
showing the tail-lights streaming backwards. The slower the
shutter speed, the more pronounced the effects.

Single-frame shooting/Sequential shooting

Single-frame shooting Shoots 1 frame at a time when the shutter button is pressed.
j Sequential shooting Focus and exposure are locked at the first frame. The
sequential shooting speed varies depending on the image
quality setting.
c High speed sequential
shooting 1 Pictures can be taken at a faster speed than normal sequential
shooting.
d High speed sequential
shooting 2 Sequential shooting at a speed of approximately 13.5 frames/
sec.
g Pre-capture Sequential shooting at a speed of approximately 13.5 frames/
sec. Pressing the shutter button halfway stores 10 frames of a
picture immediately before shooting.

AF sequential shooting Adjusts the focus 1 frame at a time. The shooting speed is
slower than for normal sequential shooting.
7 Bracket shooting Takes pictures sequentially while changing the exposure for
each frame. Focus and white balance are locked at the first
frame.

• The distance displayed on the monitor is a reference figure.
• You can use the zoom ring or the control dial as well as
